Looking for a rewarding internship this spring quarter?

Enroll in the Humanities Out There Practicum (Humanities 195; course code 28500), where you can gain valuable professional experience in educational programming in a museum-based setting. In addition to learning about community-based cultural programming, the H.O.T. Practicum is a wonderful opportunity to develop practical skills for future tutors, teachers, and other educators.

Blending meaningful service-learning with afterschool mentoring and instruction at the Bowers Kidseum, H.O.T. interns make a significant impact on the children they work with. Internship tasks range from daily homework help, assisting with art projects, developing literacy activities, designing lessons, visits to the Bowers Museum, and much more!
Carpools to the Kidseum are available!

In addition to interning one afternoon a week from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m., H.O.T. interns also participate in a weekly on-campus seminar that meets every Tuesday from 1:00 - 1:50 p.m. in HH 236.
  • All UCI students are eligible to participate
  • 2 Units, P/NP
Here's a short video clip about the internship narrated by former H.O.T. interns!

Here's an article about Rigo Rodríguez,

an early H.O.T. contributor

who is now a scholar-activist!
